Riso Printing

During my junior year, I enrolled in a studio class about printmaking with the Risograph Digitial Duplicator. I used collage, photography, graphic design, and other artistic elements with the RISO to complete four individual projects.

Project 1: 4 Layer Print

4-layer RISO print utilizing halftones, strategic knockout, and color combination.

Ink colors: mint, scarlet, purple, and sunflower.

Project 2: Image←→Text

2-layer RISO prints utilizing collage.

Left: image-based

Right: text-based

Ink colors: copper and lake.

Project 3: Taking up space

2-layer RISO repeat pattern utilizing collage.

Ink colors: ivy and orchid.

Project 4: 4 Samizdat, Iteration, Forgery Homage

2-layer RISO printed matchbooks paying homage to artist Barbara Kruger.

Ink colors: red and black.
